"PINOCCHIO" SESSION
Reg. Morgan Introduces New Songs
of appreciation which Reg. Morgan of 2ZB has received about the session he recently put over the air of selections from the film "Pinocchio," listeners appreciated this session. J by the amount of letters Reg: sang several numbers from the Walt. Dishey feature. His introduction was to give a short description of the Italian fairy-tale, which tells of a kindly old wood carver named Gepetto, who lives alone with his pets, Figaro, the kitten, and Cleo, the goldfish. Gepetto puts all his longing for a son into the little pinewood puppet he has carved, and he calls this puppet ** Pinocchio."
The numbers Reg. sang were "‘ Give a Little Whistle," the song Jimmy Cricket sings; "" I’ve Got No Strings," one of ‘Pinocchio’s own songs; and " Three Cheers for Anything." The hit of the picture, and what is certain
to be a favourite song with listeners in a very short while is "‘ Wish oem a Star." Reg. has promised listeners he will ag another bracket of songs for listeners shortly, as these were so widely enjoyed,
