"WHAT ID LIKE TO HAVE SAID"
EGINNING on Saturday next. at B Station 2ZB, is.a new. feature entitled "What I’d Like to Have Said." It promises to be an entertaining "Legionnaire Production;’ featuring Walter Pym and Beryl Walker. ‘This feature puts into concrete form many of ‘the things we would like to have said at some time or other. There are many times when we are literally burning up to say exactly what we think to various people, and we'd give a lot for the courage to do it. For instance, we have all suffered from visitors who don’t know when to go home, who stand at the door and can’t say "‘ good-bye,"’ who sit and sit while the weary hours drag by and we are wishing they would go somewhere, and go there fast! But we give a forced smile and hope we don’t look half as annoyed as we feel. Then there’s the man who wants to tell you the story of his life, and does it, too, while. you yearn to change the subject and discuss the latest football match.
Again there are the people with the spoiled children-who come to dinner on Sundays; anid while little Johnnie picks up the hearth ‘brush and throws it. into the fire, you smile ina forced manner, and. say ""Oh, that’s quite all right." _ All these stories and many others are told in "What I'd Like to Have, Said." This radio , feature should have «an instantaneous appeal to listeners who are* always looking for a feature that is’ a little bit different. This ‘ Legionnaire Production" was written by P. A. Darbyshire, script writer of numerous radio plays, produced by Hal. Percy, and the cast includes (in addition to Walter Pym and Beryl Walker) Douglas © Kelly, Richard Davies, Dorothy Mannix, Keith Howard, and Pat. Kennedy. Tune in .to Station 2ZB, on Saturday next at 8.30 p.m. Beginning at Station 1ZB on July 13, 3ZB July 20, and 4ZB July 27, at the same time.
