GENERAL HUNTZIGER, the French representative who signed the armistice with Germany and Italy, commanded one of the French armies at the beginning of this war. He was a member of the Supreme French War Council and a grand officer of the Legion of Honour. General Huntziger has served in Madagascar, Senegal, the Sudan and French Indo-China. After the last war, where he served with distinction, particularly in Bulgaria, he commanded French Colonial units, and then went to Brazil as chief of a military mission.
