Liedertafel
SEVERAL well-known singers ‘and musicians will assist the Hutt Valley Liedertafel in the programme it is to present from 2YA at 9.15 p.m. on Thursday, July 11. Featured in the programme will be Warwick Keen, a boy-soprano, of whom the Liedertafel leaders think highly. He will sing solos and also with the choir.
Arthur Galley is a baritone. who recently arrived from. Auckland to live in the Hutt. He was a member of the Auckland Male Voice Choir. Associated with the Liedertafel in the programme will be an instrumental trio: D. W. McKenzie (clarinet), Lilla McKenzie (’cello), and Lalla Keys (piano). A first performance will be given of "Nature’s Hymns,’ composed by C. R. Crichton, of the Hutt Valley, and dedicated to the Liedertafel. Both words and music are by Mr. Crichton. Now eight years old, the Hutt Valley Liedertafel has a well-established reputation to ensure a large listening audience for this programma,
