The World's Ugliest Woman
Mile. Polaire, an ex-Parisian actress, was buried recently in a pauper’s grave in Paris. In her heyday, Mlle. was billed sensationally as "The World’s Ugliest Woman." She was very jealous of her reputation, and insured herself for £4,000 against becoming a beauty. A lone voice crying in the wilderness!
