AMENDMENT
In our last issue we stated that a performance of Andersen Tyrer’s music for Marlowe’s "Dr. Faustus" would be given in Dunedin on May 13 by the National Festival Symphony Orchestra, which begins its tour there on Saturday next, May 11. The item now announced in the programmes (see 4YA) is Gounod’s opera "Faust," with the full orchestra and all principals. The first performance of "Faust" will be on May 13 in Dunedin, following the performance of "Elijah" on Saturday, May 11, when Dunedin’s Music Week opens. The first performance of "Dr. Faustus" will be given in Christchurch on May 31, with Professor James Shelley as the orator
