WHO IS HE?-Once upon a time there was a young man who walked into a recording studio and lived happily ever after. That seems to sum up the crowded career of this eminent personality in the world of recording. He was born of Scottish parents in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1882. He was taken into his father’s business and became an ironworker. His talent for singing led to his winning medals at Ballarat. Then he went to London.
