9.33 Frank Titterton (tenor), "On the Water" . Schubert "The Erl King" .. Schubert Frank Titterton was born at Handsworth, near Birmingham, and was an engineer before becoming a_ professional singer. Frank started singing professionally after the Great War. He had served in the Tanks Corps, "and," he says, "I required a tank almost to myself, even at that time." His’ girth has since increased still more, and now, paradoxically, he uses one of the smallest cars on the market.
