A STEIN SONG

What with Gertrude, Ep, and Ein, When I hear the name of Stein, I go creepy down the spine. Ein has caught the ether bending, Gert has sentences unending, Ep is really most heart-rending. Ein’s made straight lines parabolic, Eppie’s " Night" is alcoholic, Gertie’s grammer has the colic. Ein and Space are down to tin-tacks, Ep hews. boulders with a flint axe, Gert has no respect for syntax. What with Gertrude, Ein and Ep, Life and Art are out of step. Are we then down-hearted? Yep!
