BANANA CAKE
Ingredients: 4 lb. butter, 1 breakfast cup sugar, 1142 cups flour, 1 egg, 2 bananas, 114 teaspoons baking powder, 2 tablespoons milk, YQ teaspoon baking soda dissolved in the milk. Method: Beat butter and sugar to a cream, add well-beaten egg, then add crushed bananas and 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, followed by flour and baking powder. Lastly, add baking soda, dissolved in milk, and cook for 40 minutes in a moderate oven.
