Most of the originals were painted for this work by some of the best artists in the Colony, and the sketches have been taken with the view of giving as great a diversity as possible of our grand and picturesque scenery. The new series have been prepared with the utmost care by the chromo-artist, and are printed in twelve colours. No expense and trouble has been spared to maintain the reputation earned by the publisher of producing the finest chromos in these Colonies, as acknowledged by the principal newspapers. In order to further increase the sale of last year’s cards, the publisher has decided to reduce the price of the large size to Gd each, and the small ones to 3d each. They have been carefully reprinted this year, and many corrections made in the drawings. Over 3,000 of these cards were sold in Wanganui last year, to send away to friends out of the Colony, and the publisher is confident that when his new cards are seen, a most extensive demand will arise.
