Forest and Bird's national 'Save the Albatross' campaign was launched at the Taiaroa Heads Albatross Colony near Dunedin. Members of the official party include the Minister of Fisheries, Hon Pete Hodgson (in shirtsleeves at centre), and Dunedin City Councillor Leah McBey, with Forest and Bird executive member (and Dunedin branch deputy chair) Prof Alan Mark on right. Kiwi Conservation Club members at left mounted the special albatross display.
