Mercury Bay Funding and a New Email Forum
ercury Bay Forest and Bird members involved in the restoration of Kaitoke Scenic Reserve on the Coromandel Peninsula have expressed their thanks for
funding help from the Waikato Forest and Bird, Project Crimson and the Ron Greenwood Trust. Pest control can now occur all year round, with benefits to regenerating
native forest, kiwi and other species in the area. The chair of the Mercury Bay section, Steve Hart, has also started an email forum for those involved in restoration
projects to share ideas on pest control. The forum is for those wanting advice from others who are working ‘on the ground’. To join, email pestchat@xtra.co.nz
