Wildflowers of Central Otago,
by Peter Johnson ($33.95, John McIndoe) An excellent book for all those who delight in wildflowers. This well illustrated guide would be suitable for the much of the eastern South Island and is a must for those exploring Central Otago. Johnson follows the wildflowerrs through the seasons, grouping them in a way that the lay person and botanist can understand. If only all our botanists could write half as well.
