SOCIETY SUMMER CAMPS

COOPERS BEACH, Northland The Far North Branch are holding a camp at Coopers Beach Youth Camp (bunkhouse accommodation), from 26-31 January 1985. Cabins and camp-sites will also be available across the road. Field trips are planned to Puketi Forest, Kaimaumau Swamp, East Beach, Ninety Mile Beach and the Whatuwhiwhi Peninsular. There will be guest speakers each evening. The Far North has many unique plants and some of the best beaches in the country. TURANGI, near Lake Taupo Wellington Branch have arranged accommodation in the Turangi Holiday Motor Camp, where two berth cabins are available. ELTHAM, near Mt Egmont South Taranaki Branch have had to change the venue of their camp to the Presbyterian Camp in Eltham, plus caravan and tent sites in the Eltham Camping Grounds. Classroom accommodation is available, and people should bring their own bedding.
