WAR PENSIONS
The executtive of the Returned Soldiers' Association of New Zealand passed a resolution expressing strong condemnation of the way the pensions legislation was dealt with this session- It contends that the legislation was kept back ti 11 the dyirtg hours of the session and forced through without adequate consideration. It contrasts the time devoted to racing permits with the few hours given to pensions. The executive protests against the inadequate sum granted, expressing keen disappointment that no attempt was made to meet the circumstances of partially-dis-abled men. It calls on the Government to prepare a comprehensive scheme of pensions legislation and circulate it before next session.
