Mr T. O'Byrne, secretary of the Southland Sawmill Workers' Union, left by Tuesday's express for Wellington to attend the New Zealand tamber workers' annual conference. All local bodies are requested to support the resolution of tbe Returned Soidiers' Association bringmg pressure to bear upon the Govermnent to immediately make the D.S.S. Act operative again.
