SOCIAL NOTES.

Mrs Morton gave a most delightful "tea" for Mrs Sam. Craig, in the Federal Tea Rooms last week. Among the guests I noticed : Mesdames Gabites, Basstian, Walter Jones, MacEwan, Tucker, R. J. Gilmour, Abbey Jones, Pilcher, John Macdo-nald, Todd, Brooks, Jennings, Wilson Hodges. Mrs Horace Macalister gave a most enjoyable dance at her home in Duke street, on Friday evening. Some the guests were: Mesdames Mofett, Caws, John Macdonald, Misses Morrah, Prain, Hazlett, Snow, Field, Vyner, Irving, Messrs J. B. Thomson, Gilmour, Irving, Williams, Prain, Caws, Moffett, Macdonald, and Hewitt. A most charming supper-party and danee was gi #en hy Mr and Mrs Wilson Hodges on Friday evening, at their home in Thames street. Miss Gladys Searell left -for the north . on Tuesday.
