A sight in camp in the daybreak x and dim, As from my tent I emerge-, so arlsS® sleepless. As slow I walk in the cool fresh path near by the hospital tent! a Three forms I see on stretehers 1)4> brought out there, untended Over each blanket spread, brownish woollen blanket, Grey and heavy blanket, folding, .1 ing all. I Curiously I halt and silent stand, 9 Then with light fingers 1 froD1 face of the nearest, the fh5'; IYB lift the blanket; Who are you, elderly man so Stoj and grim, with well-grey d hair, ■ flesh all sunken about the eyes- I Who are, you, my dear comrade? ■ Then to the second I step— and w you, my child and darling? Who are you, sweet boy, with «»■ yet blooming ?
