The committee appointed met last week and accepted the tender of Mr Fraser, of Invercargill, of £220 for a Fallen Soldiers' Monument to be erected in the main street a few chains from the railway sipgA surprise party visited the home of Miss McLeod who is leaving the district. A very enjoyable evening was spent. Miss McLeod was the recipientr of a number of handsome uresents.
