Having regard to the matters referred to above, the Committee recommends that the Government instruct the Department of Internal Affairs once more to intimate to local authorities that this House requires of them that they shall observe in their entirety the Standing Orders relating to the preparation and introduction of Local Bills; and, further, that the Department direct their attention to the provisions contained in the Statutes Drafting and Compilation Act, 1920, under which, free of charge, they may submit drafts of Local Bills to the Law Draftsman for revision before the Bills are introduced.
