Aircraft employed on these services were Douglas (D.C. 3) aircraft and one Short Sunderland flying-boat. (iii) Pan-American Airways, Inc. (U.S.A.) Pan-American Airways, Inc., continued to operate its service between San Francisco and Auckland (via Honolulu, Canton Island, and Nadi) with D.C. 4 (Skymaster) aircraft. The frequency was one return trip per week until 15th February, when it was increased to two return trips per week.
