ORDER OF REFERENCE Extract from the Journals of the House of Representatives Thursday, the 27th Day of November, 1947 Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting, by leave, of eleven members, to consider the desirability or otherwise of the retention of the Emergency Regulations contained in the Schedules to the Supply Regulations Act, 1947, and the Emergency Regulations Continuance Act, 1947 ; the Committee to have power to sit during the recess and for twenty-eight days after the commencement of the next session, at such times as the Committee may see fit, and to report to this House within twenty-eight days after the commencement of the next ensuing session of Parliament: the Committee to consist of Mr. Algie, the Reverend Mr. Carr, Mr. Cotterill, Dr. Findlay, Mr. Gerard, Mr. Marshall, the Hon. Mr. Mason, Mr. Mathison, Mr. Oram, Mr. Osborne, and Mr. Watts."—(Right Hon. Mr. Fraser.)
