SHIPPING AND STORAGE Although there has been no serious storage problems this season, the stocks in store at 30th September, 1947, awaiting shipment, 74,877 tons, are higher than at the end of any previous season. CANNED MEATS The contract with the United Kingdom Ministry of Food for the supply of canned corned beef during 1947 remained unchanged at 2,500 tons and the allocation of this quantity among the various meat canners was on the same basis as the 1946 contract.
