Tolaga Bay Account: The Marae Account now stands at £BOB 7s. 7d. and will, we understand, when completed, be transferred to the following blocks : Mangaheia 2d, Paremata 3, and Paremata 64. The Potato Crop Account, which now amounts to £7B lis. 3d., should, in our opinion, also be transferred to the blocks concerned. The Paremata Hall Account, which appeared in the statement showing the position of the various blocks at the 30th June, 1947, has now been transferred to the following blocks : Iwinui, Paremata 64, and Mangaheia 2d. Unadjusted Expenditure, Oliver Tractor Account.—This account shows in the Balance-sheet at £1,530 6s. 3d., and there is a further sum of £246 2s. outstanding which will probably not be collected. As all the plant has now been disposed of, we are of the opinion that consideration should be given to the liquidation of this account. Station Accounts.—ln the accounts for the year ended 30th June, 1947, the stations on Mangaheia 2d—namely, Waipuna and Paroa—have now been absorbed in one account as Paroa Station. During the year ended 30th June, 1947, operations were commenced on the Tukemokihi and Paparatu Stations, and the area farmed, including that of Pohaturoa and Mahurangi Stations, has created a rearrangement of the farming areas, with the result that the various stations referred to now operate on more than one block. A similar position arises in connection with the Tapere and Marewa Stations on the Tahora Blocks, which commenced operations during the year under review. It will be necessary to adjust equitably the rights of the respective interests involved, and we understand that the East Coast Commissioner is taking the necessary steps to do this. In order that you may understand the position, we attach to this report a schedule showing the stations involved and the area of the respective blocks concerned. Subject to the foregoing remarks, we certify that, to the best of our knowledge and belief, the accounts signed by us are correct.
