Special Report I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Maori Affairs Committee unanimously passed the following resolution : " That the Committee desires to record its appreciation of the efficient and courteous manner in which the Chairman, Mr. J. B. F. Cotterill, has guided the conduct and business of the Committee during the session, and that this resolution be recorded in the minutes and reported to the House." W. Final Report I have the honour to report that the Maori Affairs Committee, consisting of fifteen members, held eighteen meetings during the session, with an average attendance at each meeting of nine members. Including four petitions brought forward from last session, the Committee has carefully considered fifty petitions ; forty-nine petitions were reported on to the House and one is held over. Seven parliamentary papers and two Bills —the Waerenga-a-hika Trust Bill and the Maori Purposes Bill—were duly considered by the Committee and reported on. 26th November, 1947.
