No. 53. —Petition of Hoani Meihana and Others, of Wellington Praying for a rehearing of the claim of the Ngati-Tama Tribe to inclusion in Wakapuaka Block. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make regarding this petition. Bth October, 1946,

Native Purposes Bill I have the honour to report that the Maori Affairs Committee, to which was referred the Native Purposes Bill, has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 9th October, 1946.
