The following tenders were received on the closing date, the 4th March, 1946, and the General Manager prepared the following schedule of the tenders :

The next meeting of the Board was on the 12th March, 1946, and the Minister had instructed the General Manager to submit the tenders to him before they were dealt with by the Board. The General Manager recommended the acceptance of the respective tenders of Gillies Ltd. and Archibalds Ltd. as per his letter of the sth March, 1946, as follows: — 185/84 sth March, 1946.
