Caro, Hamilton. - Obituary It is with regret that the Board records the passing during the year of Mrs. J. Fraser and Mr. T. Jordan, both of whom were original members of the National Patriotic Council, and, on the abolition of that Council, were appointed to the Board. Both had rendered outstanding service to the patriotic effort throughout the war years, and their passing was a very deep loss not only to the Board, but to the whole of New Zealand. Appreciation The Board wishes to express its appreciation for the co-operation and assistance given by the Provincial Patriotic Councils and their Committees and welfare organizations throughout New Zealand. It also wishes to thank' its Commissioners and representatives overseas, and its expending agents in New Zealand and overseasThanks are also due to the executives and staffs of the Broadcasting and Post and Telegraph Departments, and other Departments, the Service chiefs, and the press, whose co-operation has been of great value. The Board also desires to thank the thousands of voluntary workers and the generous public who subscribed the funds and thus made the above record of service possible. Finally, the Board wishes to thank its office staff for the loyal and efficient service rendered, and the Government for meeting the office salaries and rent and for assistance in other directions.
