Cancellations The following registrations were cancelled by request—l.O.O.F.: Waiau Lodge. Star of Carterton Lodge, Bond of Friendship Rebekah Lodge, and Star of Te Pulse Lodge. A.0.F.: Court Pride of Levin (Wellington District) and Court Pride of Napier (Juvenile). H.A.C.8.5.: St. John of the Cross Branch (Northern (N.Z.) District). 1.F.5.: South Westland Medical Association. Amalgamation M.U.1.0.0.F.: Motueka District amalgamated with Nelson District. Conversion Lyttelton District, M.U.1.0.0.F. was converted into a branch of The Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (New Zealand). There were 1,064 registrations at 31st December, 1945. The position of the various orders in respect of registrations during 1945 is as follows:

Amendments of Rules The rules of forty societies and branches were amended during 1945, five by complete amendment, and thirty-five by partial amendment. Statistics of Membership and Funds The number of members of 905 lodges* at the end of 1945 was 83,022, as compared with 85,091 at 1944. This shows a decrease of 2,069, equal to 2-43 per cent., as compared with 3-31 per cent, for 1944. The total funds of the societies and branches as at 3'lst December, 1945, amounted to £6,135,413, made up as follows: Sick and Funeral Funds (inclusive of amounts transferred to special funds out of surplus), £5,628,739; Medical and Management Funds, goods, &c., £506,674. Dividing the total funds by the number of members at the end, of the year it is found the average capital per member is now £73 18s.

* The word " lodge " when applied to all societies is to be understood as embracing the synonymous terms " court," " tent," &e., as used in the various orders.
