(vi) Milk-supply. —The Wellington City Council is the only municipality at the present time operating a complete milk-supply service for its inhabitants. Practically the whole ofthe milk-supply of Wellington City is provided by the Wellington City Council. The extent of this service can be gauged from the following table, which shows that the receipts and payments approximate £500,000 at the present time. The payments do not include payments for interest and sinking fund :—

(vii) Rents.—Most boroughs derive certain revenue from rents of properties which they own. These receipts are usually part of the general revenue of the local authority, and the amounts are shown in the following table.
