No. 30.—Petition of C. E. Pope and 44 Others, of Christchurch. Praying that certain sections of the New-Zealand-grown Fruit Regulations 1940, relating to the grading, sizing, packing, inspection, and sale of stone-fruit, be revoked. I have the honour to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for most favourable consideration. 20th August, 1941.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the services rendered by the Clerk of the Committee, Mr. E. B. Harman, and, further, desires this resolution to be recorded on the minutes of the Committee, and be reported to the House. 14th October, 1941. B. Roberts, Chairman.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee desires to place on record its hearty appreciation of the services of its Chairman, Mr. Roberts, and has directed that a resolution to this effect be placed upon the minutes of the Committee, and be reported to the House. 15th October, 1941. Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee, consisting of ten members, has held three meetings, with an average attendance of six members. Three petitions were considered and reported on to the House. 15th October, 1941. B. Roberts, Chairman.
