Minister in Charge of the Valuation Department. AN ESTIMATE of the Sum that will be required in the Year ending 31st March, 1941, to defray the Salaries, Contingencies, and Expenses of the Valuation Department. Summary.
(a) Decrease due to retirements, enlistments, and replacements by lower-paid officers. (b) Overexpenditure due to the appointment of a new President and a larger number of objections than was anticipated. (c) An endeavour is being made to overtake arrears of work in maps and tracings. (d) Provision to meet cost of car to be taken over from another department.
