REMARKS. (a) Miscellaneous items of expenditure which could be charged more properly to an item such as this have been charged previously to " Contingencies." (b) Payments in connection with various experiments not brought to charge. (c) Anticipated research work necessitating the payment of grants was not completed last year. (d) New vessel for Fisheries Section, the full cost of which will be brought to charge this year, is now being constructed. (e) It is anticipated that this year there will be a slight increase in the number of sacks of oysters available for selling-purposes, with a corresponding increase in revenue.
