GENERAL REVIEW. Discharged Soldiers Settlement Account. Loans authorized during the year number 273, involving a total amount of £38,811, as follows : —

Cash receipts for the year have risen by £200,971. The lands set apart for selection by discharged soldiers during the year totalled 2,869 acres, making a grand total of 1,448,668 acres proclaimed since the inception of the scheme.
