EE POETS.

No. 53, Sess. 1, 1932. —Petition of J. Roberts and 13 Others. Praying that representatives of the industrial workers be allowed to give evidence at the Bar of the House. I have the honour to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 2nd November, 1932.

Apprentices Bili. I have the honour to report that the Committee, having been unable to hear all desirable evidence, is of the opinion that the Bill should not be allowed to proceed this session. 6th March, 1933.

New Zealand Institute of Clerks of Works Bill. I have the honour to report that the Committee, having carefully considered the evidence tendered, is of the opinion that the Bill should not be allowed to proceed. 6th March, 1933.

Workers' Compensation Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Committee, having had no opportunity of taking evidence in connection with the Bill, recommends that it be not allowed to proceed. 6th March, 1933.

Shops and Offices Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Committee was unable to hear full evidence on the Bill, and therefore cannot recommend that it be allowed to proceed. 6th March, 1933.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that the members of the Labour Bills Committee desire to record their great appreciation of the ability, tact, and unfailing courtesy manifested in the conduct of the business of the Committee by its Chairman, Mr. S, G. Smith ; and the members of the Committee further desire that this resolution be reported to the House. A. D. McLeod, 6th March, 1933. Member of the Committee.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that the members of the Labour Bills Committee desire to place on record their appreciation of the satisfactory manner in which the Clerk, Mr. Llewellyn Meredith, carried out the duties of his office during the session. 6th March, 1933. Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Labour Bills Committee, consisting of ten members, has during the session held six meetings with an average attendance at each meeting of six members. One petition and four Bills were referred to the Committee and have been reported upon to the House. 6th March, 1933. S. G. Smith, Chairman.
