With reference to my predecessor's despatch, No. 231, of the sth November, 1928, I have the honour to state, for the information of His Majesty's Government in New Zealand, that for the year 1930 the number of reservists under Article 126, clause 1 (b) of the King's Regulations and Admiralty Instructions who must form part of the crew in order that a ship may be eligible to fly the Blue Ensign of His Majesty's Fleet, will still be seven.
