No. 184/25.—Petition of Maata Mahupuku Asher. Petitioner alleges that through the wrongful act of the Crown in paying the proceeds of the sale of the Ngawakaakupe Block to a sole trustee, contrary to the provisions of the Settled Lands Act, 1908, she lost the whole of her interests in the said land. She prays for restitution. I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. 30th September, 1925.
