I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. 10th September, 1925. No. 185/24. —Petition of Waitomo County Council and other Local Bodies. That provision be made for recovery of rates on Native lands. I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that permission be given for this petition to be withdrawn. 10th September, 1925.
