FURTHER EXTENDING TIME FOR REPORT OF COMMISSION. Charles Fergusson, Governor-General. To all to whom these presents shall come, and to John Alexander, Esquire, of Auckland, Barrister; Gerald Fitzgerald, Esquire, of Wellington, Civil Engineer; Alexander Macintosh, Esquire, of Wellington, Gentleman: Greeting. Whereas by a Warrant dated the twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and issued under my hand and under the seal of the Dominion of New Zealand, you were appointed to inquire into and report upon certain questions arising out of (1) the administration of the Government, and (2) the working of the existing laws relating to slaughtering, meat-export control, and commercial trusts : And whereas you were directed and required to report to me not later than the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, your recommendation on the matters mentioned in the said Warrant. And whereas by Warrant dated the twenty-third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and issued under my hand and under the seal of the Dominion of New Zealand, the time within which you were required to make your said report was extended to the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five : And whereas it is expedient that the period within which you are required to make the said report should be extended as hereinafter provided : Now, therefore, I, Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby declare and appoint that the time at or before which you shall present to me your report aforesaid is extended to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five. And, with the like advice and consent, and in further pursuance of the said power and authority, I do hereby confirm the said Commission. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.
