All other goods, 2,160,807 tons; decrease, 181,494 tons. - The revenue per mile of railway (including Westland) decreased from £1,638 4s. 9d. to £1,636 16s. 7d., and from 15s. 5d., per train-mile to 15s. 2d. The variations of traffic in the individual districts were approximately as under : — Christchurch. —Revenue, £965,056 ; decrease, £84,047. Passengers decreased 15,528, and. season tickets 4,176.
