Ordered,, " That Standing Order No. 219 be suspended, and that a Committee be appointed, consisting of eleven members, to whom shall bo referred all Bills specially dealing with the revision of the law ; with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee appointed by the Legislative Council; the Committee to have power to call for persons, papers, and records ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Field, Hon. Mr. Hanan, Mr. Holland, Mr. Lysnar, Hon. Mr. Ngata, Hon. Mr. Parr, Hon. Sir R. H. Rhodes, Mr. F. J. Rolleston, Mr. Sidey, Mr. Wilford, and the mover."—(Hon. Mr. Downie Stewart.) Ordered, " That the Justices of the Peace Amendment Bill (No. 2) bo referred to tho Statutes Revision Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Parr.) Ordered, " That the Death Duties Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(Right Hon. Mr. Massky.) Tuesday, the 31st Day op July, 1923. Ordered, " That the Chattels Transfer Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."— (Right Hon. Mr. Massey.) Monday, the 20th Day op August, 1923. Ordered, " That the Judicature Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Parr.)

EEPOETS. Companies Special Empowering Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that tho said Bill has been carefully considered, and the Committee recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill attached. 10th August, 1923. Death Duties Amendment Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that the said Bill has been carefully considered, and the Committee recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill attached. 14th August, 1923.
