My Board is of the opinion that the present position of the settler in this case is due to the following reason : — (a.) Unsuitability of subdivision, sections being either too large or too small, or not in keeping with the configuration of the country. (b.) To excessive rent or high price paid for land. (c.) To inexperience of farmer, wrong methods of farming, or unsuitability of stock. (d.) To insufficient working capital, or the undeveloped or neglected state of the land. (e.) To high prices ruling for stock at the time of purchase and subsequent slump, resulting in bad seasons and low prices for produce. (/.) To high cost of building, fencing material, implements, seeds, and manure at the time of purchase or selection. (g.) To any other reasons.
Chairman.
N.B. —To record decision, please strike out all reasons not appropriate.
