In reply to Your Excellency's despatch, No. 26, of the 9th February, I have the honour to request you to inform your Ministers that the International Institute of Agriculture is unable to confirm the statement that the Government of Italy is in possession of new and valuable information with regard to the control of disease in fruit-trees and other plants. 2.
