HOSPITALS COMMISSION. REPORT OF THE COMMISSION TO INQUIRE INTO AND REPORT UPON PROPOSALS TO AMEND THE HOSPITALS AND CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS ACT, 1909.

Wellington, 30th June, 1921. To His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand. May it please Your Excellency,— I have the honour to transmit herewith the report of the Commissioners appointed by Your Excellency's Letters Patent of the 18th January, 1921, and 14th March, 1921, to inquire into certain proposals to amend the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909. The minutes of evidence accompany the report, and there are also appended the minutes of proceedings, a summary of recommendations, and. a classification of evidence. The Commission desires to record its full appreciation of the services of the secretary, Mr. A. yon Keisenberg, whose marked ability, knowledge of hospital administration, and unflagging attention to his work were of the greatest assistance in conducting the inquiry on which the report is based.
