(bequest), £3,700, scholarship in science ; Mrs. Oliver (bequest), £2,006 17s. ; sundry donations, £276 16s. ; anonymous, £2,500, for ethnology ; Mrs. Mungo Watson, books ; Mr. Murdoch, valuable collection of objects in stone and bone for the museum. The past year witnessed considerable progress in the Workers' Educational Association movement in this district. Thirteen classes and one study circle were carried on during the year. This, however, is but the beginning of things. During the year a salaried organizer was appointed, with the result that new life has been infused into the whole movement in this district.
