Sir,— Government House, Wellington, 4th September, 1917. 1 have the honour to inform you that I have caused to be laid before my Ministers your despatch, Dominions No. 365, of the 9th June, inviting attention to the steps which you propose to take to give effect to the resolution passed by the Imperial War Conference relative to the representation of India at future Imperial Conferences. 2. The Government of New Zealand reaffirm the decision conveyed to you in my telegram of the sth May, to the effect that the terms of the abovementioned resolution have their entire approval and support. I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch, Dominions No. 415, of the 28th June, enclosing, for the information of my Ministers, a copy of a letter from the War Office explaining the conditions under which candidates from the oversea dominions may now be nominated for admission to the Royal Military Academy and the Royal Military College. 2. My Ministers inform me that it is proposed to limit the number of nominations of candidates for these institutions to three each term, or a total of nine per annum, so far as this Dominion is concerned. , I have, &c, LIVERPOOL, The Right Hon. With reference to your predecessor's despatch, No. 10, of the 6th January, 1916, relating to statistics of enemy property in New Zealand, and property in enemy territory belonging to individuals or firms resident or conducting business in this Dominion, I have the honour to transmit to you the accompanying copies of returns compiled under each of the above-mentioned headings, and made up to the 30th June, 1917.
