With reference to my despatch, No. 154, of the 18th August, I have the honour to transmit to you the accompanying statement, showing contributions by the Government and people of New Zealand to various war funds during duly of this year, which have been remitted by telegraph to the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London for distribution. The amounts shown on the statement do not include many other cash contributions which have been distributed other than through the High Commissioner, nor ilo they include the value of gifts in kind.
