Interim Report of the Public Accounts Committee on the Estimates of Expenditure out of the Consolidated Fund for the Year ending 31st March, 1913. The Public Accounts Committee, to whom were referred the estimates of expenditure out of the Consolidated Fund for the year ending 31st March, 1913, have the honour to report that they have carefully considered the following classes, and recommend that they be allowed to proceed : — Class 11. Department of Finance. ~ 111. Post and Telegraph Department. ~ IV. Working Railways Department. ~ VI. Native Department. Native Land Settlement Account. The Committee also recommend that Class X, Defence, be allowed to proceed with the amended schedules as proposed by the Minister of Defence and which are attached hereto. I am directed to report these several resolutions, and ask that the Committee be granted an extension of time until Friday, the 16th instant, to consider the remaining classes. 9th August, 1912. J.
