Please let me have a return at once of the number of circulars and the nature of each circular sent by either the Old-age Pensions or the Widows' Pensions Department to Magistrates during the last ten years. In reply to your memorandum of to-day asking for a return of the number of circulars and the nature -of each circular sent by either the Old-age Pensions or the Widows' Pensions Department to Magistrates during the past ten years, I have to advise that at no time during the past ten years, or at any time, has any circular been issued to any Magistrate by the Old-age Pensions or the Widows' Pensions Department.
